Behind the Scenes: A Photoshoot with A Rustic Feeling

We love sharing a behind the scenes peek into A Rustic Feeling. Recently we did a photoshoot for our new Fall and Holiday collections.

We shot on location at a beautiful rustic-industrial style loft in a converted former fabric mill located in New England. The setting was the perfect touch to feature our new products, which we hand-picked from artisans, just for you!

Our photoshoot day began with carefully transporting our new products, as well as some customer favorites currently in our shop, to our location. The large mill-style windows and distressed brick walls provided the perfect backdrop to feature our farmhouse, rustic, and primitive style pieces.

Each product was carefully arranged with our favorite piece of barnwood and a few seasonal sprigs to get the perfect picture. It was a beautiful, sunny New England day, but we still needed a little extra studio lighting to capture the colors.

Here at A Rustic Feeling it is so important to feel the personal touches of the brand. Our employee, Victoria, was happy to hold some of our favorite pieces in some of the photos. Her favorite product was definitely these hand-crafted wood pumpkins. They’re the perfect size for any area in your home that needs a touch of Autumn!

Our favorite photo to shoot that day was our cover photo. We partnered with a talented ceramic artist, Deb from Deb McConnell Studio, to feature this hand-painted ceramic mug. The sgraffito technique she uses on these picturesque mugs gives dimension and texture to the illustration. Each piece in her shop is unique and designed for everyday use and enjoyment.
